$285.00

Become familiar with common injuries in this profession, and gain awareness of how your body mechanics can prevent particular injuries and problems as a massage therapist. Learn how the delivery of force in massage therapy is affected by gravity, table height, lubricant, and tools.

You will have time to describe and demonstrate proper body mechanics and explain when it may be appropriate to lean, pull, push, or squat while giving a massage. We will discuss how to maintain upper extremity joint alignment (stacking) while working around the massage table. We will also discuss and demonstrate proper head and neck posture while delivering a massage.
