Do you work with or care for children who could use a little more support feeling grounded and regulated? Dr. Abitz will guide you through interactive lectures, demonstrations, and experiential activities that examine how the nervous system shifts through sympathetic and parasympathetic states when children feel safe, calm, focused, and connected.
We’ll explore child-centered approaches to supporting Central Nervous System (CNS) regulation through gentle sensory-informed techniques including breathwork, compression, rocking, swinging, grounding touch, rhythmic movement, and co-regulation strategies.
Designed for massage therapists, parents, and wellness professionals, this class examines how the nervous system develops in children and how sensory input, movement, environment, and relational safety influence regulation, stress responses, emotional resilience, and body awareness.
Special emphasis is placed on consent, emotional safety, adapting techniques for neurodivergent children, and recognizing signs of overstimulation versus regulation. You will leave with practical tools to support nervous system centering while fostering trust, connection, and resilience in children.
NCBTMB #CE4027524 (4CE). Licensed massage therapists will receive CE credit only if the class is approved by the NCBTMB. No refunds will be given if it is not approved. This class is valuable regardless of approval for CE.
**Put 1230 for “license number” on registration if you are not a massage therapist.
