Join us in understanding the benefits, principles, and working definitions related to flexibility, stretching, and range of motion (ROM). Key topics include finding the end range, understanding the kinetic chain and muscle imbalances, reciprocal inhibition, and synergistic dominance. You will gain an understanding of possible factors limiting your clients’ or partner’s flexibility and joint ROM. Learn various assisted stretching techniques for the whole body, including active isolated stretching (AIS), contract-relax techniques, pin and stretch, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF).

Time: Days 1-3 are 9:00AM - 5:00PM CST and Day 4 is 9:00AM - 2:00PM CST

Must attend all sessions to receive any CE credit.

**This hands-on class is available to all practitioners interested in learning how to assist others in stretching. As there are no “massage specific” techniques, a massage license is not required.

Supplies Needed: Massage Table/ Yoga Mat/ Pilates Mat/ Thai Massage Mat (your choice) + Bolster or Pillows + Notebook and pen (encouraged) + Snacks and water (encouraged)

Licensed massage therapists can receive 25CE (NCBTMB approved, Course #CE4025205) upon completing this course. All participants must check with their State Regulatory Boards to verify their CE requirements. Must be present for duration of class.
